SAINT-MÉDARD CHURCH
A beautiful religious building located in Brunoy, with carved, painted and gilded panelling during the 18th century.
This is a surprising building, which from the outside does not look like much, but which from the inside is breathtaking. The church is entirely unified by an exceptional 18th century decoration, dazzling in white and gold, whose restoration was completed in 2005: a rarity! The church was rebuilt in the 16th century on the site of a Merovingian chapel. Jean-Paris de Montmartel, guardian of the royal treasury, worked on the decoration with the installation of sculpted, painted and gilded panelling during the 18th century. A beautiful building full of history!
