ASSUMPTION CHURCH
Church built in the XIIth and XIIIth c. with a porch and a door of the XVIth c. in Champcueil
This church was built in the 12th and 13th centuries when Champcueil depended on the county of Corbeil, which was given to the queens of France in dower. Perhaps as such the building received special care from the queens Ingeburge of Denmark, Blanche of Castille or Marguerite of Provence... Remodeled over the centuries, it is worth a visit with its porch with a 16th century door, its 12th century choir which rises on two levels (large arcades and high windows), then three levels after its reconstruction in the 13th century.
