THE HALL
La Halle de Dourdan, a marvel of the Place du Général-de-Gaule, hosts the market and various events.
With this hall, the medieval picture of the place du Général-de-Gaulle is complete. The current market was built in 1836 on the site of a wooden building erected around 1228. Restored in 1922, the hall as it stands today is 38 m long and 14 m wide. It is composed of a pavilion at each end and the central alley is cut by seven bays. Markets and events take place there throughout the year: Ventôse Fair in March, Medieval Festival in June, Saint-Félicien Festival in September.
