THE PERGOLA OF SWEET FRANCE
Carried out by several sculptors, including Ossip, Saupique and Biscuit, this work was exhibited in Paris in 1925, during the great exhibition of modern decorative and industrial arts, where she won the great architectural prize. It is installed in Brands ten years later. Dedicated to the great Celtic myths, carved directly on the stones offered by Verdun's carriers, this creation seems to reflect the scepticism that prevailed in the 1920 s after the Great War. Iconography, which borrows from legends drawn from the novels of the Round Table and fairy tales, is structured around four rectangular pillars and addresses three themes: inspiration, love and accomplishment.
