MUNICIPAL STAMP THEATRE
This theater was built in 1851-1852 according to Gabriel Davioud's plans, including the present Parisian theaters of the Châtelet, the City and the Rond-Point. The façade of the building was modified in 1928 by the architect Boileau. The Italian room has sculpted decorations of Elias Robert, a child of the country, who made the statue of justice for the Saint Michel fountain in Paris, which is also a creation of Davioud. The decorations were painted by Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904), famous academic painter. A great eclecticism characterizes the program's programming: From classical to humorists, nothing is missing!
