LA HONVILLE
Castle of the Lord of Honville, where you can still see the dovecote, a farm and a majestic vaulted room.
La Honville, originally a Gallo-Roman villa, was in turn transformed into a farm, a hamlet and then a castle, that of the Lord of La Honville, squire to Charles VI. The manor had a chapel, stables, a dovecote, a garden etc. In the 17th century, Nicolas Bigot's youngest daughter, known as "La Belle Lolo", gave licentious parties there. It was for her that the husband of the Marquise de Sevigne died in a duel. Lolo finally sold the manor which was destroyed during the Revolution. We can still see the dovecote, a farm and a majestic vaulted room
