ASSOCIATION SPES

The multidisciplinary health network (SPES) is one of the French networks in the Ile-de-France region. It provides patients with free access to liberal and institutional professionals specialised in serious illnesses in the south of Essonne and the neighbouring communes of Seine-et-Marne. The coordination team, made up of expert consultants in palliative care, pain and supportive care (doctors, nurses, psychologists), supports the attending physician and/or the home care team in managing the specific problems associated with serious and progressive illnesses. It encourages people to stay at home if they so wish and ensures continuity of medical, psychological and social care between the town and the health establishments. The intervention of the SPES network is entirely free.
