The only marina on the entire north-western coast of the Arcachon Basin makes for pleasant cruising and good sport fishing. Contrary to what you might think, the village doesn't take its name from the vines - which came from Château Margaux in the Médoc and were planted by Léon Lesca on the spoil from the fish tanks - but from a dune called Lavigne.
