The Massy Opera House, led by Jacques-Henri Soumère, was born in 1993, taking place in a vast complex, also composed of cinema and media. What a strange idea to install an opera here, many people at the inauguration of the place. And yet! A unique place, which is celebrating this year of its quarter-century, in Paris suburbs, it has a large hall of eight hundred places and an auditorium of one hundred and thirty places, and proposes operas, dance, concerts, song and theater. Backstage visits, exhibitions, public rehearsal, conferences and debates with artists are also offered. In addition, this institution organizes concerts in close places and conducts cultural activities. Contemporary works and the highlighting of young European artists are two points on which the Massy Opera House produces special efforts. Note that this establishment has an orchestra.
