VILLEROY PARK
Park with ruins of a Renaissance castle and a hydraulic system, home to a remarkable flora, an ideal place for a walk.
To the north-west of Mennecy, the Parc de Villeroy is an ideal place for a stroll: over 108 hectares of forest provide a comforting bath in nature. Once home to a Renaissance château, all that can be seen today are its ruins. The remains of a 17th-century hydraulic system can also be seen. In terms of flora, there are vast avenues of walnut, beech, oak, lime and sycamore trees. But the most impressive is the avenue of giant sequoia trees: planted in double rows in 1887, they now stand at over 30 m tall.
