AUBERGE DU VIEUX CHAUDRON

In the 17th century, the Vieux Chaudron building was a coaching inn. In Ormoy, just a few minutes' drive from Etampes, you'll find a restaurant with a fireplace at its heart. The cuisine is based on seasonal produce found at the market. Among the menus is one called "plaisir". And to say that it lives up to its name would be an understatement. Among the dishes on the menu are a genuine Tatin of scallops with pan-fried endives (famous!) or a fricassee of Cajun veal with rice pilaf. Don't forget to end your session with one of the temptations on offer, such as this fresh fruit tian, a souvenir of a crème brûlée... A sure-fire value, and one that remains so!
