PARC INTERCOMMUNAL EUGÈNE CHANLON
Park housing the former Troche quarry, a site of regional interest and a place to relax and discover Palaiseau.
Among Palaiseau's many green spaces, the Eugène Chanlon park, known as "Les Roches Bleues", is home to one of Essonne's most important geological sites. Known as the old Troche quarry, this mineral deposit was exploited as early as the 18th century, before being abandoned in 1937. It was from these mineral resources that the mythical cobblestones covering the streets of Paris were cut. The park also features a number of pleasant green spaces for relaxation.
