The most beautiful example of a Gothic church in Île-de-France, with a well, which testifies to the ancient Gallic cult.
Tradition has it that Saint Sulpice was honored in Favières as early as the 7th century, having resurrected a child drowned in the Juine river, in Chamarande. The village then became an important place of pilgrimage. From the 13th century until the Revolution, writings relate the miracles obtained in this place. Built between 1245 and 1315, the church is one of the most beautiful examples of Gothic art in Ile-de-France. You will be able to see a well, witness of an ancient Gallic cult.
