Ornithological observatory near the Bièvre reservoir and overlooking the reed beds in the urban environment of Île-de-France.

19% of the territory of Antony is made up of green spaces. Located near the Bièvre reservoir, in the southwest of the city, this ornithological observatory overlooks the only reedbed in an urban environment in Île-de-France, where a hundred or so birds live. Coots, mallards, herons, snipe and kingfishers live on this 5 ha site. Since 2009, the observatory has been classified as a Regional Nature Reserve; it is the most remarkable wetland in the Hauts-de-Seine. Guided tour upon registration with the agglomeration community.

Regional natural reserve with Antony, the only one of the 92, is managed by the common CORIF - Centre Ornithologique d' Ile-de-France - which organises activities. Ideal for beginners ornithologists. The place is quite surprising, nature in the heart of great units. Castagneux grebes nesting.
I know the existence of this observatory. I will see this summer.
