VILLA COOK
Le Corbusier created William Cook's villa in 1927, now a historic monument. " The garden roof, the free plan, the free facade, the window in laterally sliding length… the classic plane is overthrown, the bottom of the house is free. The reception is at the top of the house. We go directly to the garden roof from which one dominates the vast couches of Boulogne, "this is Le Corbusier's will described by himself. He actually pulled the house out of the ground with the pile. This building is an experiment of the five points theory for modern architecture, it is part of the 1930 ' s course of Boulogne-Billancourt.
