VILLA COLLINET
Mallet-Stevens (1886-1945), contemporary by Le Corbusier, defends new architecture among the first. Its preference, the special home, allows it to work the asymmetries and proportions. He was among the founders of the TERROIR (modern artists'union) of new avant-garde talent at the time. It was he who built this villa in 1926 in two parts: a vertical block, on the left, where the stairs lie, and a cube of two pieces (services, receptions and rooms) to horizontal lines. The building parallels Le Corbusier's Cook's villa designed to be in harmony with it.
