COLBERT PAVILION
Pavillon Colbert, a City property that houses social and cultural activities, a historic site in Châtenay,
In 1670, Colbert bought land in Châtenay and installed his intendant Pierre de Clairambault there. He was attached to Colbert's libraries and then to the king's. He contributed to the education of the son and grandsons of Louis XIV and became genealogist of the King's orders. Several owners succeeded one another until the Second World War. In 1973, the pavilion and the grounds were bought by a real estate company which built housing there. Today, the pavilion is owned by the City and houses social and cultural activities.
