CENTRE SPIRITUEL MANRESE
The Manrese Spiritual Center in Clamart offers a wide variety of sessions that can be viewed on its website
This spiritual center takes its name from a small town in Catalonia, Manresa, where St. Ignatius of Loyola (1491- 1556), founder of the Jesuits, radically changed his life. It was here that he began writing his Spiritual Exercises in 1522, where he described how the Lord guided him in prayer. This house was created in 1876 by the fathers of the Society of Jesus. Today a Jesuit community lives at the Center and participates with other Jesuits, as well as diocesan priests, nuns and lay people, in its animation. All have been formed and live the Ignatian spirituality. The center offers a wide variety of sessions that can be consulted on its website and to which each person can subscribe according to his or her research and questions of the moment: spiritual stops of a few days, retreats of initiation to spiritual exercises or accompaniment to their practice, weekends of preparation for marriage or for couples, thematic sessions, training for priests or lay people in listening and spiritual accompaniment. But one can also choose to register for a spiritual stay managed in a totally autonomous way while participating in the community's services.
Services: Lauds at 9:00 am and Mass at 12:00 pm each day. Each organized retreat for which one can register can organize its own liturgy in the various places of prayer present in the center.
Reception: capacity of approximately 70 people with 48 single or double rooms.
