Tower conceived as a living architect representing our thoughts and dreams according to the imagination of the artist Jean Dubuffet.
The 24-metre high Figurative Tower overlooks the departmental park of Île Saint-Germain. Born of the imagination of the artist Jean Dubuffet (1901-1985), it is part of the Hourloupe cycle, a utopian and original world created in the 1960s. The tower is designed as a living architecture, a kind of giant puzzle representing our thoughts and dreams. Described by some at its inauguration, it was finally adopted by the inhabitants, many of whom are now very proud of it! Commissioned in 1983, inaugurated five years later, it was listed as a Historic Monument in 1992. It has belonged to the Departmental Council since 2005.
