COLBERT CASTLE
This pretty little classic style mansion was built in the 17th century. It was once the property of Colbert, the great minister of Louis XIV, who acquired it after selling the current Château du Plessis-Piquet. At the time, he wanted to have a pond dug here to supply the fountains of the park near Sceaux. The adjoining estate then included a farm. In the 20th century, the latter would be covered with residential pavilions. However, the house is still standing. She has had several assignments: horticultural school, presbytery... Château Colbert is now the property of a Catholic community and can be admired from afar, beautifying the city.
