Founded in 2006 under the name of Development Without Borders, GINKGO is a recognised NGO of general interest aimed at strengthening the skills of social and solidarity economy actors and ngos in the South.
For GINKGO, everyone can become an actor of change by providing personal and professional skills. For this reason, GINKGO has undertaken to mobilise and send volunteers abroad in order to strengthen the skills of local actors in a sustainable manner.
GINKGO offers volunteer missions ranging from 2 weeks to 1 year in countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, on various topics: culture and education, social entrepreneurship, sustainable development, access to fundamental, medico-social rights.
To ensure the relevance of the proposed missions and their impact on the field, GINKGO undertakes to:
Forging strong relationships with local, committed and professional partners
Recruit serious and motivated volunteers
Ensuring full support for volunteers
Since 2011, GINKGO has joined the international solidarity cluster of the SOS Group, France's 1 st social company, to benefit from the synergies inherent in associations.
