The site was originally a priory founded in 1120 by the monks of the congregation of Tiron. In 1890, the turfiste and breeder Edmond Blanc bought the domain and transformed it into stud. All existing buildings with the exception of barn have been razed and new buildings are receiving the breeding of purebred horses. The stud farms soon acquire an international reputation that does not wane when the domain was acquired by Marcel Boussac in 1920. In 1980, the State surrendered the stud stud and entrusted its management to the General Council of Hauts-de-Seine.
