UNA VOCE FRANCE
Founded in 1964, at a time when the disappearance of Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony in the Catholic Church was being planned, Una Voce's purpose was and still is to promote the Latin liturgy, Gregorian chant and sacred art within the Roman Catholic Church. A bimonthly magazine without equivalent in the French-speaking world, a website, an online store exclusively dedicated to Gregorian chant, weekly radio programs... Other countries have similar initiatives, which led to the creation of the International Federation Una Voce, which groups together comparable associations in more than forty countries. Una Voce France is at the service of Gregorian choir conductors and choristers. It also intends to help all those who listen to, appreciate and promote Gregorian chant, sung prayer. At the end of 2021, this association will once again enter into resistance at a time when the Vatican wishes to eliminate the oldest, most patrimonial and most spiritual forms of the Catholic liturgy.
