THÉÂTRE NANTERRE-AMANDIERS

The god of the theatre had probably decided that: we had to be present in Nanterre, the name of myself! Also, the company Pierre Debauche organizes a festival under top in 1965, instead of the Almond coast of the Almond Islands - hence the name of the room. The following year, the event takes place in military hangars decommissioned in the field of the current Faculty of Letters. In 1968, it was decided to build a Maison de la Culture in Nanterre, which opened in a temporary building in 1969 under the direction of Pierre Laville and Pierre Debauche whose company will soon obtain the status of the National drama centre. The final building was opened in 1976.

Finally, in 1982, the Maison de la Culture and the National Dramatic Centre in Nanterre were transformed into one structure: Nanterre-Almond, of which Patrice Chéreau and Catherine Tasca become directors. Jean-Pierre Vincent succeeded them in 1990. It hosts the contemporary musical theatre of Georges Aperghis and a permanent troop led by Stanislas Nordey and Jean Jourdheuil from 1995 to 1997. In 2002, Jean-Louis Martinelli was appointed head of the theatre. What is the director in the renowned stage not having mounted a room here?
