FÊTE DES VENDANGES
A former wine-growing country, Rueil-Malmaison has a municipal vineyard spread over two sites. One is located on the flanks of Mount Valérien: replacing an abandoned vine, 750 feet in Sauvignon grape were planted on 1 150 m ², south-west exposure in clay-clay terrain. The other is located in the Buzenval area with 150 feet of Sauvignon spread over 400 m ² of east-west orientation. For over thirty years, every year, in mid-October, the Confrérie-Buzenval Brotherhood organises and celebrates the harvest festival. In the programme, folklore, fanfare, parade, flea, rides, and induction of personalities "showing a strong sense of good and beautiful", which ensures the promotion and sale of the white wine produced by the city's land.
