The Wish arises from the will of several funeral pumps that meet within the same entity with the objective of organizing funeral activity activity. In 1993, the Vow develops his assistance activity to offer families of funeral contracts, a personalized professional accompaniment in a situation of mourning. It is an initial expansion of competences quickly followed by the creation in 1995 of a Training Institute (IFFPF) to engage the professionalization of funeral staff. The Wish today includes more than 700 independent funeral contractors, most often family businesses of which more than 80% are comprised of fewer than 10 employees, this represents 1 600 points of reception spread across the territory.
