Castle located in Sceaux, which houses the Ile-de-France museum since 1937
The Domaine de Sceaux attracts many visitors for its 17th-century park, in the French garden tradition. Unsurprisingly, it was Le Nôtre who designed it, while Colbert had the château built. Here you can admire the double perspective, the great waterfall... A place of history, but also of relaxation, games, sports and festivities, this park will charm more than one. The tour continues with a visit to the château, the old stables, the pavilions..

It was so beautifully maintained and it's huge that we couldn't even cover half of it while walking the whole day. We went for the cherry blossoms and although they're not real Sakura, they were pretty nonetheless. We went during a sunny weekend so it seemed as though half of Paris was there all at once. It was super crowded. There's no place to grab something to eat or drink so you should bring your own food. We had a lovely picnic in the shade. Wearing sneakers would be much more practical than pretty shoes.
