THE GARDEN OF FÉLIBRES
Visit the Jardin des Félibres, the site of the tomb of Jean-Pierre Claris de Florian.
As part of the Sceaux estate, the tomb of Jean-Pierre Claris de Florian (1755-1794), a playwright, novelist and author of fables that were very successful, can be found there. His memory is particularly celebrated from the end of the 19th century when the Félibrige, an Occitan cultural and literary association created by Frédéric Mistral, was formed. In the garden, busts recall the memory of personalities of this movement, giving visitors to the park the impression of visiting a cultural site, as each bust recalls a story.
