CHURCH OF ST. NICHOLAS-SAINT-MARC
Church enriched with bells, sculptures by Pradier and a painting and frescoes by Corot in Ville-d'Avray
The construction of this church was launched on the eve of great upheavals, since the first stone was laid on July 11, 1789. And, once completed, it became a temple of Reason. It was returned to Catholic worship in 1795, and in the 19th century it was enriched with bells, sculptures by Pradier and a painting and frescoes by Corot. The painter Richomme also contributed to its embellishment. Today, it is one of the jewels of the city's heritage.
