Congo is a country where different cultures share the same territory. This diversity can be seen in the plastic arts, with a multitude of objects, statutes and masks. It is a part of this exceptional artistic production that the exhibition La Part de l'ombre highlights at the Quai Branly Jacques Chirac Museum. 160 works, most of which are being shown to the public for the first time. The event reveals to the public the traditional art of the provinces of Kwongo, Kwilu, Mai-Ndombe and Kinshasa, and takes them to the heart of the historical events that took place in the country.
