For its sixth season, La Petite Galerie du Louvre invites visitors to discover the materials and objects that have traveled the world and through time. This is an opportunity to relive and understand the trade routes that led precious materials such as ivory, ebony, carnelian, and lapis lazuli to cross continents, before adorning the precious objects and jewelry that we are fortunate enough to be able to admire. Coming from elsewhere, materials and objects travelers, it is also an opportunity to return to these animals, including exotic animals, which have so fascinated the European monarchs when they were offered. The elephant, the giraffe, have also inspired artists to create beautiful objects. Travels of materials, relations between peoples, a colorful exhibition in Paris and an exciting moment.
