It is at number 13 on Boulevard du Temple that the 1K Hotel Restaurant Bar unveils the underside of Peruvian gastronomy. In a designer setting, you will enjoy Andean specialties revisited in a contemporary sauce by the talented and creative Chef Julien Burbaud, a disciple of Robluchon, who has a perfect command of Peruvian cuisine although he has never set foot in the land of Machu Pichu. A completely different atmosphere awaits you behind the scenes... A clandestine Mexican enclave lies at the back of this Peruvian settlement. To get there, you have to go through a secret passage in the restaurant's kitchens. Called La Mezcaleria, it is the new confidential and festive address of the establishment. This clandestine bar overturns all Mexican stereotypes as it mixes underground culture and Latino in a decor of its own, all in a hushed atmosphere where you can chat with friends against a typical musical backdrop. Here you can taste the famous Mexican drink, Mezcal, which is served in jicaras - the tropical fruit of the calabash tree - or vasos veleros - engraved Mexican tasting glasses. For a cocktail, the Mexican maps will guide you. Pull the one that matches your mood at the time. Choose "El Diablito" for a spicy Mezcal cocktail or the "Corazon" menu for a sweeter cocktail. And if you're feeling a little peckish, feel free to try the traditional guacamole or nibble on some grilled grasshoppers. An original latino address in Paris!
