Last Sunday, in Paris, we went to see a very funny boulevard play and we could only recommend it to you in this post-holiday season where the weather is grey. A small theatre where we had never set foot but where we feel a little bit at home because it's small: Théâtre Le Bout. Not far from Pigalle. On the bill: a young, sparkling and radiant actress, Violette Barratier, who makes her theatre debut with brio, and another actress, a little less young, Françoise Dehlinger, but whose overflowing energy and stage presence easily make her 20 years younger. The pitch is fun, promising. And the title "What the Fuck" says a lot about what's coming.
The story is simple...Anne-Sophie and Babeth live one above the other but everything separates them. The first is a young girl from a good family, a bit of a reagent, who is studying at a prestigious business school. The second, an eccentric retiree with accents of Parisian titi, drowns her sulphurous past in alcohol and loves old-fashioned singers. The day Anne-Sophie comes back from her vacation, she meets her neighbor for the first time but... at home. Thus begins a forced roommate between these two women who are in conflict with each other and yet will discover unexpected links..
This intergenerational encounter is quite simply a joy of well-crafted replicas. And several times we let out a crazy laugh. The duo Violette Barratier/ Françoise Dehlinger is more than credible: it works like thunder and the numerous flashes of lucidity of the characters can only amuse even the most clothed minds. We'll let you discover them... Meet us every Sunday at 5pm at the Théâtre Le Bout, 6 rue Frochot in Paris, to see this pretty little play, a good cure for depression
