Historical review
Inspired by an American combat training system deployed by the United States Army, the concept of this fashionable game as we know it today was marketed in the United States in the early 1980s. Imagined in the 70s thanks to the overflowing fantasy universe of many cinematic classics (Star Wars and Star Trek in particular), it was then possible to create arenas in which technologies based on visible or infrared lights make it possible to immerse the player in a video game context in complete safety! Laser Game was able to capture the ever-increasing demand from the French public and opened its doors for the great pleasure of its Grenoble audience in 1996. Its success was such that the company created the Laser Game Evolution brand in 2005, expanded internationally and now has more than 70 centres spread throughout France. Open for less than 4 years, the LGE Paris 14 and Paris-Asnières centers make it a point of honor to see their players have fun and enjoy the game 100% in a completely secure environment. For this reason, players must come to the centre in groups of at least 6 people, and must reserve in advance in order to privatize the playing area for a cohesive group. How to play?
Imagine yourself in a dark room, trying to escape the hunt of an enemy player who has targeted you at one of your many hiding places ... You are (or you dream of being) at the only Laser Game Evolution in Paris. Here, become a stalker, an observer and a sniper at the same time...or not ! Armed with your laser pistol and vest, your goal will be to hit enemy targets as many times as possible, while using logic, observation and memorization of the terrain to protect yourself as much as possible. Depending on the game mode you choose from a vast panel available on request, you will have Cornelian choices to make (Chimera mode), areas of the terrain to conquer (domination), enemies to rally (expansion), monsters to fight (Genesy) and always strategies to develop! In teams of 6 to 25 players or individually, from the age of 7, the red and blue players will compete in 2 mazes for 20 wild minutes

To celebrate the approach of the holidays, the team of Le Petit Futé (big kids!) wanted to get together before the departures. After an epic session of Escape Game in 2016, we were looking to test new skills. We then went looking for a Laser Game center in Paris, and our choice naturally stopped on LGE Paris 14, for its easy access (a stone's throw from the Denfert - Rochereau metro station), and the positive feedback we received! On the road, and super motivated, we were welcomed by a pleasant team of enthusiasts who directly conditioned us in a competitive atmosphere. By leaving our stuff in the lockers, our "creativity" skill was the first to be called upon when searching for pseudonyms. Let's have fun : Bold Kitten, The Yanks... DJ Couscous !! First mission accomplished ! Once vests and backpacks were swapped for equipment and offbeat identities, they looked like real superheroes! The suspense was running high and the team could no longer hold their ground, but first of all they had to go through an airlock for a briefing on the rules of the game and safety instructions
Let's go! We enter the first room, plunged into darkness, and set out to hunt down our enemies by trying to develop group strategies and remaining as discreet as possible (some are better at it than others!). Lively music, a field full of hiding places, traps and 12 players... imagine the state we came out in! Before the second game, just enough time to catch his breath when he heard about the overwhelming victory of the red team ... which does not take away his rage to win to the blue team that goes even more wild in the second room. All players discover a new maze, new gameplay and tactical possibilities. While some brave (or unconscious!) opt for a relentless chase over the entire terrain, others remain more reasonable, camped at fixed strategic points, on the lookout for enemies, traps and hidden beacons. Some better trained than others were able to put all their skills as real spies during the 40 minutes of the game ... During the debriefing with Jean-Pierre de LGE, we make a return on our epic actions, each one still in the excitement of the game ! The fun among colleagues is back with Jean-Pierre who plays with our impatience by adding more and more suspense to reveal the scores. However, he made up for it by offering cold drinks to the whole team in the private area. Proud laughter and teasing as we remembered a few gems of the game on our way home, we promised ourselves that we would return to the centre, but this time as true laser gamers of skill! There'll be vengeance in the air!!!

When we arrived, a discreet but attentive glance at the "chase board" behind Jean-Pierre allowed us to learn that we then walked in the footsteps of celebrities such as Zlatan Ibrahmovic, Orelsan, David Pujadas or Jennifer ...!

Mostly, we're holding back..
This game, which is now very popular with young and older children, is in fact accessible to everyone, young and old. A moment to spend with family, friends and even colleagues, it is very simple to assimilate but very strategic and enduring. It takes patience, vigilance, discretion and dexterity to be able to hit the enemies at their various targets (the most difficult being also the one that earns the most points, i.e. the one located on the laser gun). No matter how you play the game and what your opponents think of you, don't be fooled by appearances and don't underestimate girls or children: at Laser Game Evolution even the last one can emerge victorious!

From 6-7 years old, girls or boys. This game has very few constraints if one keeps an attention on the safety instructions which are common sense. That said, it is not recommended for those who are afraid in the dark!
