Indian restaurant serving Tamil cuisine, grilled meats, kuruma specialties and 100% vegetarian dishes.
There is no shortage of Indian restaurants in this area... Dishny was one of the very first to settle there in the 1990s, and since then has provided a typical Tamil cuisine (South India & Sri Lanka) and of high quality. The menu, varied, makes your taste buds travel depending on your desires and appetites (which you should have extensible if you want to ensure the starter/main course/naan/dessert combo). Tandoor oven grills (like paneer, an Indian cheese that perfectly absorbs the spices with which it is cooked!) or bhaji (chickpea flour fritters), like the delicately melted eggplant one, happily open up the appetite. All are served with homemade sauces that make you want to lick the plate (mint raita, coconut chutney, and spicy tomato). As for the dish, the specialities of kuruma (sweet spices and coconut milk), curry, vindaloo (spicy spices) and biryani (basmati rice, tomatoes, onions, ginger, cashew nuts and spices) are served with meat or fish, but there are also 100% vegetarian dishes. Don't miss the dosas, generous and soft pancakes made with lentil and rice flour, filled with meat, egg or potatoes, and served with various sauces, chutneys and vegetables. To accompagny with a lassi or a chai...
