Neapolitan trattoria offering classic home cooking, red pizzas, meat, fish and pasta.

Will you walk on the Canal side and a crazy craving for pasta? There is no hesitation, rush to the Madonnina de Giovanni Guided. The reputation of this Neapolitan trattoria has far exceeded the boundaries of the arrondissement. Ardoise in VO offers a classic home kitchen: ., adjacent con peperini, picata al limone but des alle ou or a mozzarella di buffala arrived the very morning of Naples. In addition every day, a meat, a fish, a dough of the day and of course red, green and white pizzas. The «gueulantes» are authentically italian. The decoration, signed and often reworked by the young Corine artist dell'Ore, is worth its weight of gnocchis: Gogo madones including the two grandmothers of the bosses who appelaitent Marie and Louise, light garlands, bunches of dried pepper. We come here first for the atmosphere, young and slightly bohemian…

Delightful, authentic Italian food.
We would love to see more vegetarian options simply because the ones we tried (pasta arrabiata, ala norma) were made of such great ingredients and fresh pasta.
Save some space for dessert because the tiramisu hits the spot!
They also have great cocktails and I can vouch for the Negroni.

That’s about the food, now for the service.
The waiters are very friendly. It was my husband’s birthday that night and I had requested the waiter to add a candle to the dessert as a little surprise- unfortunately, he forgot and he apologized when I brought it up.
Mistakes happen, we are humans.

But they won our heart and respect when the owner insisted we accept a bottle of Prosecco as an apology. This gesture shows how much they care about their customers and that’s all that matters!

Will be back :)
