Restaurant in Paris offering dishes with Creole ingredients, meats, chicken and fish.

Île aux Cerfs is a magnificent Mauritius island inside the Trou-d'Eau-Douce lagoon. In this passage from the Prado we are very far from this idyllic landscape, but the kitchen of this restaurant can carry in the space of a few moments in this little paradise on earth. The basic ingredients of Creole cuisine are found in all dishes. Tomatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, spices, fresh herbs accompany fish, gambas and meat. You can taste the briani, a typical dish of basmati rice and beef in a mixture of spices and saffron, but also small spiced doughnuts, fried aubergines, fried aubergines, chicken curry or chicken, chicken curry or rice fried rice. It's not expensive at all, the servings are generous and the frame without chichi is clean. A canteen where the regulars are pressent, for the warmth of the place that makes the Parisian grey forget.

We could not try the main dishes but we had some of the snacks and the boulette. Boulette were okay but snacks were good. The cateless was good. The gato arouille were okay. The men working in the kitchen and serving were friendly, cannot say the same about the one handling/possibly owner of the place. It is located in a funky alley but the restaurant itself was clean, with lots of tables.

Les beignets, samoussas et cateless étaient bon, le Briani bœuf était bien épicé et copieux mais seul bémol un peu gras et peut être un accueil un peu plus chaleureux....
