LE GRAND PIGALLE HÔTEL * * * *
Hotel with bohemian spirit decoration in Pigalle with rooms, some of which are attic, and a wine bar.
Romée de Goriainoff, Olivier Bon and Pierre-Charles Cros, three childhood friends, have embarked on the hotel adventure. The establishment opens on the villas of Avenue Frochot, a private city where there lived among other Toulouse-Lautrec. Pigalle's Bohemian spirit in the decoration: antique fireplaces, old and textured painted papers, brass lamps and handles, bathrooms with tiled bathrooms, mahogany offices. Some rooms are attic. The hotel has a wine bar which offers more than 200 dishes with dishes cooked by Giovanni Passerini, head of the Rino restaurant, with the group sommelier, Nicolas Smith. There is a card at the counter for the most discerning and the breakfast complete.

Great location with delicious restaurants nearby ♥️
However the breakfast staff were appalling, they were rude, arrogant and inconsiderate. It actually got to the point where we didn't want to have the breakfast that was included with our stay any more it was that horrendous. We would walk in and just be stared at and not greeted, they would approach after 10 minutes of not saying a word and just look at us and say "yes" when they wanted to take our order as if we were an inconvenience to their day. Then a French guest would walk in and they would all immediately greet them, bring over pastries and politely take their order. Being this was our first time to Paris I didn't know if this was just a "French" thing but at all of our dinner reservations we received phenomenal service so it was definitely just a personal thing either towards us or towards people who weren't French. One morning one of the breakfast girls shoved my pregnant girlfriend out of the way to wipe down a table we were about to sit at, absolutely disgusting.
The singular fleeting moments that some service was provided was when someone in a suit walked in on two occasions, I presume some sort of manager, and they would all scurry back in from their circulating cigarette breaks and suddenly they were doing a fantastic job and come over and pretend like they were being hands on and pro-active. Reminiscent of children when the teacher leaves the class.
Could not speak highly enough of the actual hotel and the other staff who worked there, but this service we received every single morning was the worst I have ever received at any hotel and completely ruined our experience here.
Beware of rooms on the first floor, ours was near the kitchen vent and it smelled of frying, so we moved rooms (unfortunately to a smaller room, which then had a water leak).
Great location and nice breakfast but can't recommend due to the fact the first room smelled horrible and the second room was smaller and we then had to move at 10pm at night.....
Hotel refunded the second night as we didn't stop there, didn't offer any compensation for the fact we had to move hotel at 10pm with no assistance.
