MIKIMOTO
A great Japanese name of the pearl of culture, Mikimoto offered a place in the VIP square of the joaillers square of Place Vendôme years ago. Known and recognized in Japan, this brand is the work of a man, Mikimoto Kokichiro, founder of the house in 1893, who has had the brilliant idea of artificially putting pearls in oysters that rose to trees gradually. This helped stimulate the production of pearl oysters and make this type of jewelry accessible. By selecting only the most beautiful pearls with regard to criteria such as lustre, colour or shape, the quality of the jewellery has been felt. Today almost 3/4 of the jewels are made with high quality pearls. The culture pearl of Japan is between 2 and 10 mm. Pearls in upper diameters are called pearls of the Southern Seas (also available at Mikimoto) and can be 15 mm in diameter. A classic, the necklace of pearls, 49 beads of 9/7 mm.
