OPÉRA EN PLEIN AIR
What could be more beautiful and exhilarating than attending an opera in the open air, caressed by the summer breeze and in exceptional places? For the past 13 years, in Paris and the inner suburbs, a great show has been performed based on the very best of the repertoire: Verdi, Puccini, Offenbach, Bizet, Rossini... Opera staged each season by a personality from the arts or show business as previously Gérard Corbiau, Julia Migenes, Julie Depardieu or Francis Perrin. Between the richness of the natural setting (Luxembourg Palace, Parc de Sceaux, Invalides, Château de Vincennes...), those of the costumes, sumptuous for the occasion, and the decorations, everything is gathered to put each lyrical masterpiece in the most refined setting. In 2014, another great lover of the genre will try this delicate exercise: Patrick Poivre d'Arvor, accompanied by a child of the ball, Manon Savary, for Mozart's "Don Giovanni". We can't suggest you to book as soon as possible, to put on your Sunday clothes for the occasion (the event is semi-social) and to bring a small piece of wool to withstand the ambient humidity once night falls. The dizzy ones will be able to rent plaids at high prices.
