CHAM
Founded in 1980, the Association Chantier History & Medieval Architecture champions the built heritage of the medieval period through permanent or seasonal volunteer sites. The CHAM is accredited by the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research and is also responsible for raising young people's awareness of heritage.
What do they propose ? The workshops are exclusively oriented towards the building: removal, conservation of ramparts, poses and rubble sealing, masonry with fatty lime, déjointoyage, rejointoyage…
Where ? France, New Caledonia, Réunion, Martinique, Guyana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Seychelles.
Prices and conditions. You must be at least 16 years old. The workshops last at least 2 weeks. The journey to the site is at the expense of the volunteer, accommodation and food are provided.
