ASSOCIATION VÉGÉTARIENNE DE FRANCE
Founded in 1995 as Alliance végétarienne, it changed its name to Association végétarienne de France in 2008. Non-profit-making, strictly secular and non-political, it is the leading organization in France promoting vegetarianism, vegetarianism and veganism. In 2022, the AVF will have around 3,000 members. In the field, it relies on some twenty local groups. The AVF works to promote vegetarianism in France and to support the individual and collective transition to a plant-based diet, at its various stages (flexitarianism, vegetarianism, veganism), whatever the motivations for this transition: animal ethics, ecology, health, North-South solidarity, culinary pleasure..
