THE SCOTTISH CHURCH IN PARIS THE SCOTS KIRK
Presbyterian church whose foundation stone was laid by Queen Elizabeth II in 1957 after 5 years on the throne.
The Eglise Ecossaise de Paris, located at 17 rue Bayard in the 8th arrondissement, is the only English-speaking Presbyterian church in France. Since 1858, this building has been home to a Scottish church with a rich history. During the Second World War, Pastor Donald Caskie closed the church to help Allied soldiers escape to Britain from Marseille. An English-language book and exhibition retrace his heroic exploits. A church service in English is held every Sunday at 11am. An interesting visit. What's more, you'll be warmly welcomed.
