Welcome to this temple of the Far East. Most of the collections presented in this museum were brought back by Clémence d 'Ennery to the end of the nineteenth century, when fashion was «chinoiserie». This passion has accumulated treasures in his particular hotel, which was finally transformed into a permanent exhibition site in 1908. It is attached to the National Museum of Asian Arts Guimet.

Hotel Particulier full of Asian art (netsuke) as it was in 1880. Free guided visit in very small groups with an excellent docent. Very difficult to get a ticket : reservations a must at least 2 months in advance.

Merci pour cette visite gratuite et commentée dans un si bel hôtel particulier ; une collection elle aussi particulière , très bien mise en valeur et surprenante ! J ai découvert beaucoup d aspects de l art asiatique tout en m immergeant dans la vie trépidante et artistique du 19 eme siècle !!
