Family hotel near the Place de la République with single rooms with double glazing and an apartment hotel.
Ideally located 200 metres from the Republic Square, the Hotel Voltaire République is close to the districts of Belleville, the Marais, Oberkampf and Bastille. It is very family and even has an apart hotel to stay up to 5 people. All the very simple rooms are equipped with double glazing, TV and some of a balcony, minibar and hair dryer. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The only advantage:
Heat and hot water. But these are just basics... and that's the only plus.
And plenty of minuses:
It started from checkin, where the oldest libidinous receptionist I ever met, asked me where I actually live (France or Romania) and what I do for a living in my country...?! I call that indiscreet.
Then the room: I probably got the worst in the whole hotel- super noisy:
-I had all the traffic from the boulevard, the building it is very poorly isolated
-then also the nights... were very short and noisy, with all the imbecils slamming doors and shouting around, no discipline, no one to call and keep the place safe
-and the "highlight" was one morning when at 10am sharp I needed to make a videocall for my professional projects and the walls started to vibrate and an infernal noise from the building site next door came, ruining my whole conversation, I needed to leave the room running with my laptop on the stairs...!
The bathroom: complete mess, with water coming out from the floor... instead of calling the plummer, they put an infect towel on the floor, which was dirty and soaked since I checked in
-as I used one of the 2 initial towels for my feet on the floor (there was none allocated, as in other normal hotels), they immediately confiscated it, so I spent 3 out of my 4 days with one single towel (!!) and feet on the wet floor, avoiding to touch that infectious soaked towel they left there in the middle!
-the shower cabin was very small, and you couldn't avoid the dirty curtain sticking on your body, mega infectious!
The room: rumped down furniture, unconfortable bed, no proper pillows (but some strangely covered towels) and dirt on the walls, as per attached pictures.
It was one of my worst accomodations not only in Paris, but ever!
Wouldn't recommend it for more than maximum one night and only for crisis situation!

Hotel in ottima posizione a 200 metri ma festa metropolitana piazza Republique. Camere piccole ma comode. Riscaldamento minimo, cambio asciugamani non tutti i giorni come previsto. Personale gentile.

Lo peor, el servicio de habitaciones, casi no hacen nada. De 5 días fallaron en 3 que no reponían las toallas o el papel, el champú...
Y el ascensor. Solo hay un ascensor y 2 personas apretadas.
