A 4-star hotel with a fairy-tale décor, poetic, and each room has its own universe.
The building, located at 2, 4, and 6 Boulevard Beaumarchais, was constructed on the site where the writer had his own hotel, built on the earthworks of the Canal Saint-Martin which allows linking the northeast of Paris to the Seine. The hotel has been in existence since 1920. At that time, the breakfast room was a restaurant, and the reception was a café. It has just been completely renovated and exit the Lyon-Mulhouse hotel, offering four-star accommodation. The decoration was entrusted to Stella Cadente, who immerses us in a world of poetic fairy tales. In this characterful abode, every corner, each space is a journey to the land of extravagance. The reception and breakfast room have grey walls painted with a brush and adorned with grey felt. They are illuminated by a chandelier made of multicoloured optical fibre filaments, resembling jellyfish. Each room has its own unique theme. The Crystal Queen on the first floor is all white, reminiscent of Alice's magical universe. The House of Wonders, designed for four people, pays homage to Lewis Carroll's work: featuring purple, black, red colours, as well as chessboard patterns, stripes, mushrooms, and of course, the rabbit and Cheshire Cat on the walls. There is also the Enchanted Forest with its foliage and animals adorning the walls, the rooms of the Seven Capital Sins decorated with photos on the ceiling reflecting in the mirrors, and the Joker with graphic impressions.
