The list of musicians who have ignited Le Gibus since its opening in 1967 is long. It goes from Chuck Berry to Daft Punk to James Brown! The period that marked minds remains the end of the 1970s, when the punk movement found here one of its benchmarks. Johnny Thunders - New York Dolls, Heartbeakers - and Chris Bailey - The Saints - were pillars of this club. In the early 1980s, the young wolves of the French stage made their teeth: Taxi Girl, Telephone, Indochine, Mano Negra, Les Slaves Green, Les Rita Mitsouko… Today, if Le Gibus entrusts its sound to many R and hip-hop DJs, this club continues to program rock concerts, including young groups and emerging artists.
