République is the meeting point for many Parisians, since it is quite "central". The difficult thing is to find a bar large enough to receive bands of friends in a neighborhood often crowded. Le Toucan, with its great capacity, works extremely well! The happy hour is very generous for a bar in the capital and you eat quite well there (croque-monsieur, pasta and salads are offered on the menu). A good address for reunions between friends.

We have been there twice during our trip and the food was amazing and the staff were kind and welcoming. The two brothers (Antonio, don’t remember the other name) made our visit amazing. We definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Vin chaud imbuvable, après changement le deuxième l’était tout autant.

Obligé de commander son verre au comptoir + erreur d’un montant conséquent sur la note finale suite à un « accident » d’un serveur… on a connu plus honnête et meilleur service.
