ÉCOLE DU THÉ
As well as the profession of wine lovers, the profession of tea experts provokes thousands of questions from the audience, the substance of which revolves around the delicate question "but how do they make so many aromas? '. Well, even if a personal donation seems welcome, it is learning and better, it works! A good dose of motivation, the firm intention not to conceal its smell or taste, the opening to countries where tea is built in the art of living, and very much to bet that by some classes of the tea school, created by the Palace des Thés in 1999, you can make the difference, blindfolded, between a sencha and a bancha, and more. in which climatic conditions these teas have been picked. To do this, you must follow the introductory courses for tea tasting in 10 modules: " What is tea? ", "in good conditions", "tasting mechanisms", "express sensations"; " Japanese teas ". After that, you can fully appreciate training sessions for tea tasting, in the area of particular interest to us: the session of green teas and that of teas in Japan. More theoretical, conferences are also given as one on the tea ceremony, chanoyu, tea in Japan, or tea and ceramics, guided tour of the Guimet museum. The program can change for the year to follow, find out! The School of Tea also organizes intensive sessions over a week together with the 3 axes of the above curriculum, which makes it possible to further elaborate on the topic in detail, finally twice a year the school organizes travel in total immersion in the tea universe in Darjeeling. The Tea School is a superb 200 m ² space dedicated to tea, including a wall of curiosity (our of unusual tea objects), library, dining room and tea pavilion where you can get to chanoyu. Courses propose to treat tea in Japanese or Chinese style. Tastings and ceremonies are the subject of courses or courses at the unit according to what suits you most. Weekend discoveries or discoveries, tasting evenings or discoveries for children, a whole range of activities is at your disposal to discover and practice an art that is thousands of years old!
