In 1975, the NSE school, Shinjuku Nihongo Gakko, was founded in the neighbourhood of the same name : Shinjuku in downtown Tokyo. Approved by the government, it is one of the oldest and best schools teaching Japanese to foreigners. NSE France is the first school in Europe, opened in September 2002. The NSE method, looking to the oral without neglecting either writing or cultural aspects, facilitates integration into everyday life in Japan and is very practical for those who want to master the language quickly. Schedules are very flexible, since courses can take place every day Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 21 pm, depending on availability of students and teachers. Regular courses have a frequency of 2 hours per week, while intensive courses are 2 hours a day over 9 days.
